TRANSGENDER SHOT TO DEATH IN TOA BAJA, PUERTO RICO
February 24, 2020
Luciano Ruiz better known as Alexa, was a transexual here in Puerto Rico, apparently she was accused yesterday of being at a McDonalds restroom looking through a mirror under the bathroom stalls. The police came and only gave her a warning. But as always people started to share pictures of her over FB, saying it was a pervert etc.
People who knew Alexa have shared that when he was a boy, he was sexually abused (raped) by his father. (This hasn’t been confirmed)
Something that obviously traumatized him, and that’s why he was mentally unstable. Dressed as a woman, perhaps feeling at ease if going into a ladies bathroom, nothing would happen. Alexa carried a mirror everywhere she went, to make sure no one was following her. Yesterday the people in McDonalds accused her of looking at girls with the mirror.
And unfortunately around 4 am she was shot to death by some guys “God only knows who they are”
I think it’s time this island get a little educated. Just because someone is different doesn’t make us better than them. After watching those videos today, I cried, I’m mad, sad, upset. Cause we as an island failed her. We tend to judge people by the clothes they wear, by the color of their skin, or sexual orientation.
We make fun of other’s, not caring about their feelings. The guys pulled the trigger, but she was killed by many that judged her, the ones who pointed their fingers, the ones who sexually abused her as a child, the ones who made fun of her, the ones who accused her of doing something she wasn’t. The officers that didn’t say, hey let me take you (somewhere) and get you some help. The people who shared a FB post without knowing her. The government that doesn’t do more for people with mental problems, schools and parents who don’t educate and teach children to be kind, have empathy to others. Stop the bullying.
All those people killed her.
Rest in Peace Alexa
